MC’s Song Of The Week #1: “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen

Hello, I’m MusiCommentator, and 2018 was a very good year for this blog.  I got more views than I ever expected to and the hard work I put into this website reflected through the output.  I’m very glad I have many readers and I thank everyone who has read it.  In celebration of these accomplishments, I wanted to start a new series on this blog, aptly titled “Song Of The Week”.

I will post one of these every week, and each one will be focused on a single song.  Whether it be a new song I like or just one that I’ve been listening to a lot lately, I’ll just briefly go over a song I like and why I like it.  I don’t plan on these posts being too long, so I guess it’s just a way for you all to see more of my musical taste and for me to recommend you all songs I think are great.  For the first one, I wanted to focus on a classic: Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

It’s pretty basic for me to say, but this is one of my favorite songs.  Sure, it’s one of everyone’s favorite songs, but there’s a good reason for that!  The way that Queen is able to tell one cohesive story through the use of old operas is genius.  With the song’s multiple sections, it makes the track feel more like an epic poem than a six-minute record.  Not to mention, Freddie’s vocals are awesome and the instrumentation is done extremely well.  Needless to say, if you haven’t listened to this song, get out of the rock you’re living under and listen to this phenomenal track.

So, that’s my first “Song Of The Week”! Tell me if you like it and if you have any songs you want me to listen to for this segment. If you liked this post, make sure to follow my website, Twitter, and Instagram, like this post, and be sure to check in soon for future content. Also, if you have something you want to see me review, tell me in the comments.  Until then, keep on listening to good music! I know I will.
